Uruguayan beef cattle are grass fed in a phenomenal natural grass environment, and have been for centuries. We do not use steroids and antibiotics that are common in the US. As such, our beef is very lean and has a unique taste that keeps our guests begging for more. At San Jose Lodge, our guests are treated to an authentic asado experience, where a variety of meats are grilled to perfection over an open flame.
